Tucked at the end of a winding road in Ellerslie, Georgia the old family farmhouse turned restaurant is a favorite go-to for locals year round. However, nothing compares to their Annual Christmas Tea!

The Christmas Tea has a different theme every year. The decorations for this tea communicated two words - "Christmas Candy" delighting the young and young at heart alike! Peppermints and gumdrops tucked among fresh cut greenery trimmed in red ribbons delighted guests upon arrival. Each table adorned with Christmas teaware and finery inviting guests to sit and savor the moment.

Two flavors of Hot Tea were served along with their signature Iced Christmas Tea Punch, which is a closely guarded Farmhouse secret.
Then the food procession began! The menu included The Farmhouse's signature dish, Hot Chicken Salad, along with Tomato & Dill Soup and a savory Christmas Scone. Next, servers brought a 3 tier tray delighting both the eyes and the appetite. Nestled among the white doilies are tiny tea sandwiches in various shapes and flavors, fresh baked scones with clotted cream and lemon curd, and rich desserts with their own unique "farmhouse" touch.
As with any afternoon tea, the tiniest details are not overlooked. The Farmhouse staff gave the Christmas Tea table a little something extra special with beautifully decorated 3 tier stands lined with pretty white paper doilies. Plus, look at the darling little gingerbread man skewer!
Even everyday Farmhouse decor was given a bit of Christmas cheer!
Who knew simply adding candy canes to a bowl of apples could be so pretty? Even I could do this...i think.
